Overview
This website is deliberately minimal. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no tracking pixels, and loads no fonts, scripts or other assets from third-party servers. Everything you see is served from this site's own domain.
Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Feras Shamasna, at the address given above.
Server log files
The hosting provider automatically records standard access data that your browser transmits: the page requested, the date and time, the referring page, your browser type and version, your operating system, and your IP address. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, in the legitimate interest of delivering the site securely and reliably. It is not merged with other data and is not used to identify you.

Local storage
If you switch between the light and dark colour theme, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key theme. This stays on your device, is never transmitted to any server, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Contact by email
If you write to me, your message and your contact details are stored so that I can handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your data is deleted once the enquiry is resolved and no statutory retention period requires it to be kept.
Booking a call
The "Book a call" button opens an external scheduling page operated by Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. Nothing is transmitted to Calendly until you follow that link. Once you are on their page, their own privacy policy governs the data you provide, available at calendly.com/privacy. Calendly is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses in their data processing addendum. If you would rather not use it, email me instead.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request information about the personal data held about you (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have your data erased (Art. 17)
- restrict processing (Art. 18)
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
